CKC's MASCOT

The Cleveland Kennel Club has chosen the Dogue de Bordeaux to model for our mascot. This ancient Dogue was breed to hunt Bear, Lions, Panthers, Rams, and Tigers. We figured he could kick some Raven and Steeler ass also.

We do use other breeds in various pieces of artwork, so if you do not see your favorite dog just send us some email.

For those not familiar with this breed of giant Dogue that has appeared on the Big Screen in "Turner and Hooch," on the Little Screen on "General Hospital" and countless ads.

The CKC will be opening a gallery for members and fans to send in photos of their favorite dogs both human and animal. So send in your favorites.

"Their fearlessness and power are formidable and can be aptly compared to most any dog that has ever intimidated the like of wolves, bears, jaguars or man."

The general appearance is that of an athlete demanding and getting respect - compact, muscular and proud.
